West Orange Aiding Neighbors
WOAN is dedicated to building a strong community with neighbors who take care of each other. We believe in the human dignity of all and this truth fuels our desire to respond to the needs of our local community. We deeply understand that joy and resistance go hand in hand, and taking action is the next right step. Our goal is to serve as a hub for neighbors to work together, find resources, and move the needle toward justice and peace. We are so glad you’re here!
Our main focus right now is welcoming anyone who is interested into our active working groups, each focused on a different initiative. Please fill out this interest form and we will get you in touch with the group facilitator. The needs of our neighbors will continue to evolve… and we will shift and change as needed. Again, thank you for being here!

ICE-Out Resolution in WO
We want to pass a resolution in West Orange to prevent ICE (or other DHS agencies) from using town property in their operations and create safe spaces for people to use our public resources.
Donate to Families in Need
Donate directly to immigrant families and people who need your help.
(This is a donation list compiled from individuals in need and local organizations and is not officially affiliated with WOAN.)
Donate to the Detainee Commissary Fund
Detainees in immigrant detention facilities are often given inedible or moldy food and have no communication with the outside. This fund helps detainees buy food and essential goods, as well as money to put into phone accounts so they can communicate with their loved ones.
